The entrance to the hotel

Sara got her first birthday gift, it was snowing outside of the hotel.  We quickly got ready, went downstairs for our morning breakfast enjoyed the fresh snow from the window, packed and went to the Grand Canyon.  Although there was snow overnight, the roads were clear and manageable.  It took about an hour to drive up and the scenery was just unreal, snow covered trees and fields greeted us as we made our way up to the canyon.  When we got there, the timing was just right as the visibility to see the canyon had cleared.  We took some amazing pictures of the snow within the canyon as well as the surrounding area.  After about an hour we got in the car and headed back down to the I-40.  Just in time too, because there was a storm coming.  We got caught in some of it but made it out of it after about 30 minutes of driving south.


This was the entrance to our Best Western hotel in Williamsburg, AZ on the morning of Sara's birthday.  They had a really good breakfast spread too!
